Bobbi Hynes, originally from Chicago Heights, Illinois, holds a BA in English and Theater from Illinois State University and brings over 40 years of experience leading and building communities as a high school teacher, program director, retreat leader, and volunteer manager. With more than 20 years in education and 15 years in volunteer leadership, she is deeply skilled in cultivating effective teams, partnerships, and stakeholders to improve lives. Bobbi served five years as director of a new Illinois program supporting seniors in living independently and with dignity through collaboration with 10 congregations, community partners, and donors. Now based in Florida, she continues her lifelong commitment to service, adaptability, and community engagement. A passionate community theater performer, Bobbi joyfully returned to the stage with Memory Lane in 2025, rekindling her love for theater. As a SAGES board member, she is committed to championing theater as a powerful vehicle for honoring the talents of older adults and highlighting both the joys and challenges of aging well in today’s culture.
