The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas is a non-profit organization that has been serving seniors and individuals with disabilities in their Florida community since 1974. AAAPP is trusted resource coordinating a network of partners and providers to better meet the needs of the aging population in their area.
Senior Connection Center is a non-profit organization serving as the aging and disability resource center for Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties in Florida. SCC is trusted to connect seniors and their caregivers to the community programs, services, and resources they need most.
All Centers for Independent Living (CILs) throughout the country offer 5 Core Services: Information/Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, Peer Mentoring, Individual/Systemic Advocacy, and Transition/Diversion. DAC in Pasco Pinellas has additional programs specific to the needs of the community.
NHSTA encourages all older drivers and caregivers to talk about driving safety. Their materials help us understand how aging can affect driving and what we can do to continue driving safely as we age, such as adapting a vehicle to meet specific needs.
More than 20 years ago, a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) pilot program conducted by FDOT kickstarted the now statewide Safe Mobility for Life Program.
