SAGES Theater is built on a legacy of learning that celebrates that acquired wisdom by sharing it generously with others.
If you have the ability, please consider these options as you choose your charitable giving.
Recurring Gifts
Qualified Charitable Distribution
Donor Advised Funds
Planned Giving - Wills & Trusts
Memorial Gifts
Donors can offer sustained support for their favorite charities by planning ahead in their budget for monthly or annual giving. Such gifts offer a reliable source of funding for ongoing operations and impactful community work.
If your wish is to give over time to SAGES Theater, you may select that option by clicking the button below to go to our PayPal payment screen to use any Credit Card. A small fee applies that you can opt to cover or have subtracted from your donation.
***ZELLE*** Automatic monthly payments can also conveniently be set up through Zelle as a recurring payment from the bank account of your choosing. With this option, there are no additional fees applied for you or for the charity.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (or QCD for short) is a tax-friendly way you can make charitable donations even if you don't itemize your tax return. This is accessible to you once you reach age 70½.
With a QCD, you can transfer any amount from your traditional IRAs directly to charity. (If married, your spouse can also transfer funds from his or her IRAs.) The direct transfer can be excluded from taxable income and still count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD).
If considering a QCD, please contact your investment company and make sure the check is made payable directly to SAGES.
Please note, the QCD applies for transfers from an IRA not a 401(k) or Thrift Saving plan.
A Donor-Advised Fund is administered by a financial services company or community foundation.
Individual donors contribute a certain amount of assets -- cash, stock shares, or other kind of wealth -- to a fund. Donors deduct the full amount right away from that year's taxes. They can't get the funds back; all of it must eventually go to nonprofits, but there is no time limit. (Meanwhile, the funds can be invested and continue to grow.)
Fund managers often determine where grants go -- but donors CAN direct them to their favorite charities. To learn more about directing a gift to SAGES Theater, please contact your financial advisor.
Planned Giving refers to Wills & Trusts.
SAGES is honored to be part of the ongoing legacy of those that spent their lives supporting the arts, theatre, education, and their community.
These gifts are cherished further by incorporating a special item from these donors into our "Plays with Purpose" stage productions.
Simply contact your attorney to initiate this option and include SAGES Theater in your future legacy planning.
